ABOUT C. JAKE
Prior to real estate sales Jake worked as VP of Operations for Government Funding, a private firm that made SBA loans. The company was sold and a year later in 1984 Jake decided the long commute to Beverly Hills was way too stressful. She explored other career opportunities and soon realized she would be happiest if she could be more of an independent contractor so she made a career change into Real Estate.
From 1984 to 1999 Jake enjoyed both a successful sales career and management positions in the industry. She was Training Director for Fred Sands Real Estate and then Sales Manager for MacGregor Realty. During that period Jake volunteered for numerous committees at the Pasadena Foothills Association of Realtors and in 1994 became the President of the Association. She was also very involved in the community of Altadena.
In 1999 Jake obtained her broker’s license, left MacGregor Realty and opened Altadena Realty. For the next 17 years Jake enjoyed the freedom of owning her own business. She and her husband, “Mr. T” bought an RV and every year they spent 2-4 months on the road with their four dogs; zigzagging across the US visiting friends and relatives.
In 2016 Jake joined C-21 Golden (now Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Golden Properties) and formed Altadena Realty Group where she now enjoys her new partnership with Doug Colliflower.
ABOUT DOUG COLLIFLOWER
Doug has lived in Altadena and been active in the community for more than 25 years. He owned and operated his own Golf Course Management Company for nearly 30 years, where he accumulated a vast amount of experience in contract negotiations, property management, capital project oversight, marketing and client care, all of which give him a leg up in providing excellent care for his real estate clients.
Serving his community is important to Doug. He is active in the Pasadena and Altadena Chambers of Commerce. He has served the Altadena Chamber as a board member for many years, serving as President from 2007 – 2009. Additionally he was elected to a council position on the Altadena Town Council and also served as Treasurer. He has been a long-time supporter of The First Tee of Greater Pasadena, currently serving as a volunteer coach.
Doug has many interests to fill his free time. He especially enjoys DIY projects and regular visits to the gym. He and his family travel when possible and Doug loves to photograph their adventures. Other hobbies include: gourmet cooking, reading and a little golf when time permits.

Doug has directed multiple capital improvement projects including: clubhouse and restaurant renovations, new building construction and large scale irrigation system replacements at golf courses. He has skillfully negotiated many contracts with the County of Los Angeles, contractors and clients. He has demonstrated an ability to increase revenue and contain costs. Doug is noted for client allegiance and fostering team work.
